Third Year Doctor of Music Arts degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Washington.

      Ryan is entering the third year of the Doctor of Music Arts degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Washington studying with Geoffrey Boers and Giselle Wyers. He is currently the Music Director at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Bellevue, and just began the Artistic Director position with ChoralSounds Northwest in Burien. Prior to moving to Seattle, Ryan was Director of the Bermuda Chamber Choir and co-founder of the Bermuda Festival Orchestra. He led an annual concert series that was often attended by royal dignitaries of the small island and enjoyed by a large audience.

      Two concerts were featured in a national television broadcast. While serving as Director of Music at the Anglican Cathedral, Ryan had the opportunity to perform for visiting Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip during the country’s 400th anniversary year. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Music in both Composition and Organ Performance from Louisiana State University, a Master of Music in Composition from Longy School of Music, and a Master of Music in choral conducting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
